After drifting 0.8 percent, US steel plate dropped to $714.00 per short ton making it the biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI® this week. Prices for Korean steel plate remained constant, closing the week at KRW 110,000 ($97.88) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for Japanese steel plate closed flat at JPY 72,000 ($720.37) per metric ton.
Chinese renewables prices were flat for the week. Chinese cobalt cathodes prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 210,000 ($34,220) per metric ton. At CNY 12,800 ($2,086) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for silicon. Neodymium remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 335,000 ($54,573) per metric ton. Closing at CNY 3,900 ($635.51) per metric ton, Chinese steel plate remained unchanged for the week.
