US Gold Bullion Up 0.6%

With a 0.6 percent increase on Wednesday, July 17, US gold bullion was the biggest mover on the Global Precious Metals MMI®. Chinese gold bullion prices inched up 0.5 percent to CNY 259.83 ($42.02) per gram. The price of Japanese gold bullion increased 0.2 percent to JPY 4,129 ($41.66) per gram. Indian gold bullion saw little change in its price on Wednesday at INR 26,625 ($448.87) per 10 grams.

US silver gained 0.4 percent to finish at $20.01 per ounce. Indian silver ended the day at INR 40,579 ($684.11) per kilogram, after the 0.3 percent drop on Wednesday. Chinese silver prices saw a 0.3 percent decline to CNY 3,980 ($643.65) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver remained essentially flat at JPY 632.00 ($6.38) per 10 grams.

The price of Chinese platinum bar moved up 0.3 percent, landing at CNY 298.00 ($48.19) per gram. After a 0.2 percent increase, US platinum bar finished the day at $1,422 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar saw its price rise 0.2 percent to JPY 4,569 ($46.10) per gram.

At CNY 163.00 ($26.36), the price of Chinese palladium bar finished the market day up 0.6 percent per gram. US palladium bar finished the day up 0.4 percent to $734.00 per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar showed little movement yesterday at JPY 2,332 ($23.53) per gram.
