Large Decrease for US Silver
US silver had the largest decline on Thursday, July 18, dropping 3.6 percent and landing at $19.29 per ounce. At CNY 3,885 ($633.32) per kilogram, Chinese silver fell 2.4 percent yesterday. Indian silver ended the day at INR 40,000 ($674.19) per kilogram, after the 1.4 percent drop on Thursday. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Japanese silver remained essentially flat at JPY 632.00 ($6.35) per 10 grams.
The price of US gold bullion fell 1.3 percent to $1,275 per ounce. Chinese gold bullion prices saw a 1.0 percent decline to CNY 257.15 ($41.92) per gram. The price of Indian gold bullion declined 0.2 percent to INR 26,582 ($448.03) per 10 grams. The price of Japanese gold bullion ended a two-day climb, settling at JPY 4,129 ($41.47) per gram.
The price of US platinum bar declined 1.3 percent to $1,403 per ounce, after two days of improvement. Chinese platinum bar finished the day down 1.0 percent to CNY 295.00 ($48.09) per gram. Following a two-day rise, the price of Japanese platinum bar flattened at JPY 4,569 ($45.89).
The price of US palladium bar changed direction with a 0.3 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at $732.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar stayed flat at around JPY 2,332 ($23.42) per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar remained essentially flat at CNY 163.00 ($26.57) per gram.
