US Copper Producer Grade 122 Price Rising

Following a two-day flat streak, the price of US copper producer grade 110 climbed by 1.0 percent to end at $3.85 per pound on Tuesday, July 23. Following a couple of essentially changeless days, the price of US copper producer grade 122 rose by 1.0 percent, closing at $3.85 per pound. After two flat days, the price of US copper producer grade 102 inched up 1.0 percent on Tuesday to $4.04. The cash price of primary Japanese copper saw a 0.4 percent decline to JPY 723,000 ($7,279) per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese copper wire increased 0.8 percent to CNY 51,390 ($8,365) per metric ton. Chinese copper bar finished the day up 0.6 percent to CNY 52,280 ($8,510) per metric ton. After a 0.6 percent increase, the Chinese copper cash price finished the day at CNY 52,480 ($8,543) per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap held its value on Tuesday at CNY 44,400 ($7,227) per metric ton.

On the LME, the copper 3-month price gained 0.9 percent to finish at $6,990 per metric ton. At $6,978, the primary copper cash price finished the market day on the LME up 0.8 percent per metric ton.
