Base Metal Price Roundup: LME Aluminum, Copper Rise; China Flat
On Thursday, July 25, the Indian aluminum cash price fell by 2.1 percent, making it the day’s biggest mover.

On the LME, the cash price of primary aluminum rose 0.3 percent to $1,807 per metric ton. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum increased 0.2 percent to $1,850 per metric ton.
The Chinese aluminum cash price held steady.
For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese aluminum scrap held flat, as did Chinese aluminum billet and Chinese aluminum bar.
The copper cash price saw a 1.7 percent increase on Thursday, July 25, reaching $7,076 per metric ton on the LME and making it the biggest mover for the day. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price increased 1.5 percent to $7,096 per metric ton.
Weakening prices followed two days of improvement as the price of US copper producer grade 110 and 122 dropped 0.3 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 102 weakened by 0.2 percent. The cash price of primary Japanese copper remained essentially flat.
Chinese copper wire, bar and scrap prices closed flat for the day.
