Indian Silver Changes Directions

Following a two-day decline, the price of Indian silver climbed up 3.9 percent to end at INR 42,101 ($714.67) per kilogram on Friday, July 26. After improving for two days, the price of Japanese silver declined 0.9 percent to JPY 643.00 ($6.48) per 10 grams. After falling for two days, the price of Chinese silver rose 0.7 percent to CNY 4,050 ($660.02) per kilogram. Following a two-day drop, the price of US silver increased by 0.5 percent to $20.25 per ounce.

Following two days of rising prices, the price of Japanese gold bullion dropped 1.3 percent to JPY 4,256 ($42.88) per gram. US gold bullion gained 0.9 percent to finish at $1,334 per ounce. Chinese gold bullion finished the day up 0.8 percent to CNY 267.30 ($43.56) per gram. After a 0.4 percent increase, Indian gold bullion finished the day at INR 27,464 ($466.20) per 10 grams.

Japanese platinum bar prices saw a 1.0 percent decline to JPY 4,600 ($46.34) per gram. The price of Chinese platinum bar is back up, rising by 0.3 percent last Friday to close at CNY 302.00 ($49.22) per gram. The price of US platinum bar showed little movement last Friday at $1,445 per ounce.

The price of US palladium bar fell 1.3 percent to $737.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar ended the day at CNY 164.00 ($26.73) per gram, after the 0.6 percent drop last Friday. At JPY 2,363 ($23.81) per gram, Japanese palladium bar fell 0.5 percent last Friday.
