Chinese gold bullion gained 1.8 percent to finish at CNY 265.65 ($43.37) per gram. US gold bullion prices inched up 0.2 percent to $1,315 per ounce. The price of Japanese gold bullion remained essentially flat at JPY 4,071 ($42.37) per gram.
Chinese silver saw its price rise 2.8 percent to CNY 4,190 ($684.08) per kilogram. The price of US silver increased 1.5 percent to $20.56 per ounce. Following two days of rising prices, the price of Indian silver dropped 1.4 percent to INR 43,750 ($718.79) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver showed little movement yesterday at JPY 622.00 ($6.47) per 10 grams.
After a 1.3 percent increase, Chinese platinum bar finished the day at CNY 313.00 ($51.10) per gram. US platinum bar prices rose 0.8 percent to $1,499 per ounce. Japanese platinum bar stayed flat at around JPY 4,634 ($48.23) per gram.
Chinese palladium bar gained 0.6 percent to finish at CNY 165.00 ($26.94) per gram. The price of US palladium bar increased 0.5 percent to $740.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar saw little change in its price on Monday at JPY 2,309 ($24.03) per gram.
