On Monday, August 19, the Indian nickel cash price experienced the biggest change, rising 0.6 percent.
Following a two-day drop, the nickel 3-month price increased by 0.4 percent on the LME to $14,790 per metric ton. After falling for two days, the spot price of nickel rose 0.2 percent on the LME to $14,680 per metric ton.
Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome held flat. The price of Chinese ferro-moly was unchanged.
The price of Chinese primary nickel nudged up 0.2 percent on Monday.
For the fifth day in a row, the prices of Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap remained essentially flat.
