The price of US platinum bar finished the market day up 1.7 percent per ounce. Chinese platinum bar prices inched up 1.6 percent. Japanese platinum bar prices rose 0.6 percent.
The price of US palladium bar rose 1.5 percent after a two-day drop. The price of Chinese palladium bar increased 1.2 percent. The price of Japanese palladium bar remained steady.
