Cash Price of Japanese Copper Shifts Up on Daily Index

The cash price of Japanese copper saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 2.0 percent on Monday, August 26. The price of US copper producer grade 110 increased 0.5 percent. After a 0.5 percent increase, the price of US copper producer grade 122 finished the day higher as well. So did the price of US copper producer grade 102, up 0.5 percent.

Chinese copper closed mixed yesterday. Chinese copper wire saw its price rise 0.9 percent. Chinese copper bar prices rose 0.8 percent. The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.8 percent. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap showed little movement yesterday.

The primary copper cash price weakened by 0.5 percent on the LME, settling at $7,300 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price declined 0.5 percent to $7,331 per metric ton.
