Dropping 0.8 percent on the LME, the nickel 3-month price was the biggest mover on Monday, August 26, closing at $14,410 per metric ton. The nickel spot price saw a 0.6 percent decline on the LME to $14,340 per metric ton.
The Indian nickel cash price showed little movement on Monday.
Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome saw little movement. The price of Chinese ferro-moly remained essentially flat.
The price of Chinese primary nickel inched up 0.5 percent.
For the fifth consecutive day, the prices of Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap held flat.
