Daily Copper Prices

 The price of US copper producer grade 110 changed direction with a 0.7 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at $3.99 per pound. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of US copper producer grade 122 weakened by 0.7 percent. Prices closed at $3.99 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 closed at $4.18 per pound. Following a couple days of improvement, prices fell by 0.7 percent.

Chinese copper closed mixed on Tuesday. Chinese bright copper scrap rose 4.6 percent to CNY 46,240 ($7,556) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper wire declined 0.6 percent to CNY 53,450 ($8,734) per metric ton, after two days of improvement. Chinese copper bar closed 0.5 percent lower at CNY 54,320 ($8,876) per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese copper fell 0.5 percent to CNY 54,520 ($8,909) per metric ton.

The copper 3-month price showed little movement on Tuesday on the LME at $7,331 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price showed little movement yesterday, hovering around $7,300 per metric ton.
