The Indian nickel cash price fell 2.1 percent on Thursday, August 29, making it the day’s biggest mover.
The nickel 3-month price dropped by 0.9 percent on the LME to $14,275 per metric ton after holding steady. The spot price of nickel saw a 0.7 percent decline on the LME to $14,225 per metric ton.
Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome saw little movement. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-moly held flat.
The price of Chinese primary nickel declined 1.1 percent.
Meanwhile, Chinese 304 and 316 stainless coil and scrap prices were unchanged.
