Korean Steel Plate Price Dives on Weekly Renewable Energy Index

After drifting down 18.9 percent, Korean steel plate ended up the biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI® this week.

US steel plate fell 0.9 percent over the past week. Prices for Japanese steel plate remained constant. See how our monthly Renewables MMI® performed.

Chinese renewables prices were mixed for the week. Chinese cobalt cathodes gained a slight 1.5 percent this past week. The price of neodymium finished the week 1.1 percent higher. Silicon remained essentially flat from the previous week. Chinese steel plate prices held steady from the previous week.

US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) dropped 3.8 percent for September over August’s price.
