Indian Silver Drops 8.5%

Indian silver saw the biggest price decline of the day, dropping 8.5 percent to close at INR 51,912 ($802.88) per kilogram on Tuesday, September 10. At JPY 745.00 ($7.47) per 10 grams, Japanese silver fell 0.7 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese silver declined 0.6 percent to CNY 4,740 ($774.48) per kilogram. US silver finished the day down 0.5 percent to $23.72 per ounce.

Following two days of rising prices, the price of Indian gold bullion dropped 7.1 percent to INR 30,482 ($471.44) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion ended the day at CNY 274.35 ($44.83) per gram, after the 0.6 percent drop on Tuesday. The price of Japanese gold bullion fell 0.6 percent to JPY 4,427 ($44.39) per gram. US gold bullion prices saw a 0.2 percent decline to $1,387 per ounce.

The price of Japanese platinum bar declined 0.9 percent to JPY 4,767 ($47.80) per gram. US platinum bar closed 0.7 percent lower at $1,481 per ounce. Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese platinum bar increased by 0.3 percent to CNY 310.00 ($50.65) per gram.

The price of US palladium bar fell 1.9 percent to $685.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar ended the day at CNY 154.00 ($25.16) per gram, after the 0.6 percent drop on Tuesday. The price of Japanese palladium bar remained steady at JPY 2,225 ($22.31) per gram.
