Global copper prices were mostly down on MetalMiner’s daily index, with Chinese copper bar prices leading the charge, seeing a 0.7 percent decline.
The cash price of Chinese copper declined 0.7 percent as well. Chinese copper wire fell 0.7 percent yesterday, while the price of Chinese bright copper scrap finished the day following a 0.4 percent increase.
The Japanese copper cash price inched up 0.3 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 110 fell 0.3 percent. The price of US copper producer grade 122 weakened by 0.3 percent.
The copper 3-month price saw a 0.2 percent decline on the LME to $7,190 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price fell 0.1 percent to $7,162 per metric ton.
