US Copper Producer Grade 102 Price Rises

With a 7.8 percent increase over the past day, US copper producer grade 102 price was the biggest mover, closing at $4.44 per pound on Thursday, September 12. The Japanese copper cash price inched up 0.3 percent to JPY 748,000 ($7,494) per metric ton. The price of US copper producer grade 110 fell 0.3 percent to $3.92 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 122 weakened by 0.3 percent, settling at $3.92 per pound.

Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. Chinese copper bar prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to CNY 53,080 ($8,675) per metric ton. The cash price of Chinese copper declined 0.7 percent to CNY 53,280 ($8,708) per metric ton. At CNY 52,230 ($8,537) per metric ton, Chinese copper wire fell 0.7 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap finished the day at CNY 52,750 ($8,622) per metric ton following a 0.4 percent increase.

The copper 3-month price saw a 0.2 percent decline on the LME to $7,190 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price fell 0.1 percent to $7,162 per metric ton.
