Indian Silver Moves Down 2.4%

Indian silver had the largest decline on Wednesday, September 18, dropping 2.4 percent and landing at INR 48,235 ($763.38) per kilogram. Chinese silver ended the day at CNY 4,340 ($708.98) per kilogram, after the 1.3 percent drop yesterday. The price of US silver declined 0.4 percent to $21.74 per ounce. Japanese silver stayed flat at around JPY 695.00 ($7.01) per 10 grams.

Chinese gold bullion finished the day down 1.3 percent to CNY 258.10 ($42.16) per gram. The price of Indian gold bullion fell 1.3 percent to INR 29,406 ($465.39) per 10 grams. US gold bullion finished the day down 0.3 percent to $1,310 per ounce. The price of Japanese gold bullion held steady at JPY 4,196 ($42.33) per gram.

Chinese platinum bar ended the day at CNY 298.00 ($48.68) per gram, after the 1.7 percent drop yesterday. US platinum bar prices saw a 0.7 percent decline to $1,423 per ounce. At JPY 4,610 ($46.50) per gram, the price of Japanese platinum bar was essentially unchanged.

Chinese palladium bar closed 1.3 percent lower at CNY 155.00 ($25.32) per gram. Japanese palladium bar saw little change in its price yesterday at JPY 2,243 ($22.63) per gram. Following a two-day rise, the price of US palladium bar flattened at $703.00.
