The Indian aluminum cash price saw a 2.3 percent increase on Monday, September 30, reaching INR 113.15 ($1.80) per kilogram and making it the biggest mover for the day. On the LME, the primary aluminum cash price rose 1.6 percent to $1,789 per metric ton. On the LME, the aluminum 3-month price increased 1.4 percent to $1,834 per metric ton.
Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. Following a couple of essentially changeless days, the price of Chinese aluminum scrap rose by 0.5 percent, closing at CNY 12,815 ($2,090) per metric ton. Following a two-day rise, the cash price of Chinese aluminum flattened at CNY 14,640 ($2,387). At CNY 14,500 ($2,365) per metric ton, the price of Chinese aluminum billet was essentially unchanged. The price of Chinese aluminum bar held steady at CNY 14,200 ($2,316) per metric ton.
