Rare Earths MMI®: Cerium Oxide Barely Moves

Consistent prices for Rare Earths MMI® metals continued through the week, where cerium oxide held steady at CNY 28,500 ($4,648) per metric ton. At CNY 2,150 ($350.62) per kilogram, the price of dysprosium oxide did not change since the previous week. Europium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 4,900 ($799.09) per kilogram.

Prices for lanthanum oxide remained constant, closing the week at CNY 28,000 ($4,566) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for neodymium closed flat at CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. Neodymium prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. At CNY 355,000 ($57,893) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for neodymium oxide.

Closing at CNY 570,000 ($92,955) per metric ton, praseodymium oxide remained unchanged for the week. Following a steady week, prices for rare earth carbonate closed flat at CNY 27,500 ($4,485) per metric ton. Samarium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 23,000 ($3,751) per metric ton. Prices for terbium metal remained constant, closing the week at CNY 4,900 ($799.09) per kilogram.

Terbium oxide traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 4,150 ($676.78) per kilogram. At CNY 80,000 ($13,046) per metric ton, the price of yttria did not change since the previous week. Yttrium prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 280.00 ($45.66) per kilogram.
