US Gold Bullion Experiences Large Decrease

US gold bullion saw a 3.0 percent drop on Wednesday, October 2, landing at $1,288 per ounce and making it the biggest mover of the day. Indian gold bullion closed 1.6 percent lower at INR 29,440 ($470.17) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion stayed flat at around CNY 265.00 ($43.30) per gram. At JPY 4,213 ($43.01) per gram, the price of Japanese gold bullion was essentially unchanged.

After a 3.0 percent increase, Indian silver finished the day at INR 50,025 ($798.93) per kilogram. US silver finished the day down 2.5 percent to $21.17 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver remained essentially flat at CNY 4,365 ($713.24) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver remained steady at JPY 678.00 ($6.92) per 10 grams.

At $1,378 per ounce, US platinum bar fell 1.6 percent yesterday. Chinese platinum bar stayed flat at around CNY 298.00 ($48.69) per gram. The price of Japanese platinum bar showed little movement yesterday at JPY 4,457 ($45.50) per gram.

The price of US palladium bar declined 1.0 percent to $716.00 per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar held steady at JPY 2,326 ($23.75) per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around CNY 160.00 ($26.14) per gram.
