Large Decrease for Indian Silver

On Thursday, October 3, the day’s biggest mover was Indian silver, which saw a 4.4 percent decline to INR 47,828 ($770.49) per kilogram. Japanese silver prices saw a 2.7 percent decline to JPY 660.00 ($6.78) per 10 grams. Following a two-day drop, the price of US silver increased by 2.6 percent to $21.73 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver remained essentially flat at CNY 4,365 ($713.20) per kilogram.

Japanese gold bullion took a large hit on on Thursday, sliding down 3.6 percent before landing at JPY 4,063 ($41.75) per gram. Following a 2.2 percent rise on Thursday, the price of US gold bullion closed at $1,316 per ounce. After dropping for two days, the price of Indian gold bullion flattened at INR 29,455 ($474.51). Chinese gold bullion held its value yesterday at CNY 265.00 ($43.30) per gram.

At JPY 4,371 ($44.91) per gram, Japanese platinum bar fell 1.9 percent on Thursday. The price of US platinum bar rose 0.7 percent to $1,387 per ounce after a two-day drop. The price of Chinese platinum bar held steady at CNY 298.00 ($48.69) per gram.

Japanese palladium bar finished the day down 2.5 percent to JPY 2,267 ($23.29) per gram. Following a two-day drop, the price of US palladium bar increased by 0.1 percent to $717.00 per ounce. The price of Chinese palladium bar saw little movement at CNY 160.00 ($26.14) per gram.
