Indian Silver Experiences Large Decrease

Indian silver saw the biggest price decline of the day, dropping 3.2 percent to close at INR 48,050 ($782.76) per kilogram on Monday, October 7. US silver prices rose 0.2 percent to $21.74 per ounce. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese silver remained essentially flat at CNY 4,365 ($713.78) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver remained essentially flat at JPY 672.00 ($6.91) per 10 grams.

Indian gold bullion gained 2.9 percent to finish at INR 29,754 ($484.71) per 10 grams. US gold bullion prices saw a 0.4 percent decline to $1,311 per ounce. Japanese gold bullion ended the day at JPY 4,109 ($42.24) per gram, after the 0.4 percent drop yesterday. The price of Chinese gold bullion saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row, remaining around CNY 265.00 ($43.33) per gram.

US platinum bar finished the day up 1.4 percent to $1,386 per ounce. After falling for two days, the price of Japanese platinum bar rose 0.6 percent to JPY 4,368 ($44.90) per gram. The price of Chinese platinum bar saw little movement at CNY 298.00 ($48.73) per gram.

The price of Japanese palladium bar fell 2.6 percent to JPY 2,208 ($22.70) per gram. US palladium bar finished the day down 0.3 percent to $699.00 per ounce. The price of Chinese palladium bar remained essentially flat at CNY 160.00 ($26.16) per gram.
