Rare Earths MMI®: Cerium Oxide Holds Pat

The past week saw all metals on Rare Earths MMI® hold steady. At CNY 28,500 ($4,660) per metric ton, cerium oxide didn’t move. Dysprosium oxide prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 2,150 ($351.58) per kilogram. Europium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 4,900 ($801.27) per kilogram.

Following a steady week, prices for lanthanum oxide closed flat at CNY 28,000 ($4,579) per metric ton. Prices for neodymium remained constant, closing the week at CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. Following a steady week, prices for neodymium closed flat at CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. Neodymium oxide prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 355,000 ($58,051) per metric ton.

Praseodymium oxide traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 570,000 ($93,209) per metric ton. At CNY 27,500 ($4,497) per metric ton, the price of rare earth carbonate did not change since the previous week. Samarium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 23,000 ($3,761) per metric ton. Prices for terbium metal remained constant, closing the week at CNY 4,900 ($801.27) per kilogram.

At CNY 4,150 ($678.63) per kilogram, the week finished with no movement for terbium oxide. Closing at CNY 80,000 ($13,082) per metric ton, yttria remained unchanged for the week. At CNY 280.00 ($45.79) per kilogram, the price of yttrium did not change since the previous week.
