Indian Silver Rises 2.6%

At INR 50,969 ($821.02) per kilogram, Indian silver moved up 2.6 percent on Wednesday, October 9, the day’s biggest change. Following a couple of essentially changeless days, the price of Japanese silver rose by 2.4 percent, closing at JPY 688.00 ($7.10) per 10 grams. After a 0.9 percent increase, Chinese silver finished the day at CNY 4,490 ($733.76) per kilogram. The price of US silver closed at $22.29 per ounce. Following a couple days of improvement, prices fell by 0.3 percent.

At JPY 4,146 ($42.78), the price of Japanese gold bullion finished the market day up 0.9 percent per gram. The price of Chinese gold bullion fell 0.4 percent to CNY 262.00 ($42.82) per gram. US gold bullion closed 0.3 percent lower at $1,319 per ounce. Indian gold bullion held its value yesterday at INR 28,913 ($465.74) per 10 grams.

Japanese platinum bar gained 1.0 percent to finish at JPY 4,413 ($45.54) per gram. US platinum bar prices inched up 0.3 percent to $1,397 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar saw little change in its price on Wednesday at CNY 295.00 ($48.21) per gram.

US palladium bar saw its price rise 1.3 percent to $711.00 per ounce. At JPY 2,214 ($22.85), the price of Japanese palladium bar finished the market day up 0.3 percent per gram. The price of Chinese palladium bar held steady at CNY 157.00 ($25.66) per gram.
