Indian Silver Moves Down 2.2%

On Friday, October 11, the day’s biggest mover was Indian silver, which saw a 2.2 percent decline to INR 49,117 ($798.86) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver changed direction with a 2.0 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at JPY 683.00 ($6.96) per 10 grams. The price of US silver declined 1.0 percent to $21.68 per ounce. Chinese silver finished the day down 0.9 percent to CNY 4,365 ($713.81) per kilogram.

US gold bullion ended the day at $1,286 per ounce, after the 1.6 percent drop last Friday. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 0.9 percent to CNY 257.31 ($42.08) per gram. Japanese gold bullion prices saw a 0.6 percent decline to JPY 4,108 ($41.83) per gram. Indian gold bullion stayed flat at around INR 28,913 ($470.25) per 10 grams.

Japanese platinum bar closed 0.7 percent lower at JPY 4,378 ($44.58) per gram. US platinum bar saw its price rise 0.3 percent to $1,381 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar saw little change in its price last Friday at CNY 293.00 ($47.91) per gram.

The price of US palladium bar increased 1.0 percent to $707.00 per ounce. After a 0.6 percent increase, Chinese palladium bar finished the day at CNY 157.00 ($25.67) per gram. Japanese palladium bar finished the day up 0.3 percent to JPY 2,220 ($22.61) per gram.
