Small Drift for Cash Price of Primary Indian Aluminum

On Friday, October 11, the day’s biggest mover was the cash price of primary Indian aluminum, which saw a 1.2 percent decline to INR 114.50 ($1.86) per kilogram. The cash price of primary aluminum steadied at $1,839 per metric ton following two-days of increases on the LME. Following a two-day rise on the LME, the aluminum 3-month price flattened at $1,887.

Chinese aluminum prices were mixed for the day. The cash price of Chinese aluminum inched up 0.3 percent to CNY 14,640 ($2,394) per metric ton. Chinese aluminum scrap saw little change in its price last Friday at CNY 12,955 ($2,119) per metric ton. The price of Chinese aluminum billet showed little movement last Friday at CNY 14,600 ($2,388) per metric ton. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese aluminum bar held flat at CNY 14,200 ($2,322) per metric ton.
