Rare Earths MMI®: Cerium Oxide Barely Moves

Rare Earths MMI® metals had a quiet week, with cerium oxide hovering around CNY 28,500 ($4,652) per metric ton. Dysprosium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 2,150 ($350.96) per kilogram. Closing at CNY 4,900 ($799.86) per kilogram, europium oxide remained unchanged for the week.

At CNY 28,000 ($4,571) per metric ton, the price of lanthanum oxide did not change since the previous week. Following a steady week, prices for neodymium closed flat at CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. At CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for neodymium. Neodymium oxide remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 355,000 ($57,949) per metric ton.

Praseodymium oxide traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 570,000 ($93,045) per metric ton. Prices for rare earth carbonate remained constant, closing the week at CNY 27,500 ($4,489) per metric ton. At CNY 23,000 ($3,754) per metric ton, the price of samarium oxide did not change since the previous week. Following a steady week, prices for terbium metal closed flat at CNY 4,900 ($799.86) per kilogram.

Terbium oxide prices held steady from the previous week at CNY 4,150 ($677.43) per kilogram. Closing at CNY 80,000 ($13,059) per metric ton, yttria remained unchanged for the week. Prices for yttrium remained constant, closing the week at CNY 280.00 ($45.71) per kilogram.
