Indian silver saw a 1.7 percent drop on Tuesday, October 15, landing at INR 48,300 ($785.35) per kilogram and making it the biggest mover of the day. At $21.27 per ounce, US silver fell 0.3 percent yesterday. The price of Chinese silver declined 0.1 percent to CNY 4,275 ($700.01) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver flattened at JPY 674.00 ($6.83) per 10 grams after two days of downward movement.
Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese gold bullion increased by 0.1 percent to CNY 254.20 ($41.62) per gram. The price of US gold bullion steadied at $1,273 per ounce following two-days of dropping prices. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Indian gold bullion remained essentially flat at INR 28,913 ($470.12) per 10 grams. Following two days of downward movement, the price of Japanese gold bullion held steady at JPY 4,087 ($41.43) per gram.
US platinum bar prices inched up 0.9 percent to $1,379 per ounce. The price of Chinese platinum bar increased 0.3 percent to CNY 290.00 ($47.49) per gram. The price of Japanese platinum bar remained essentially flat at JPY 4,408 ($44.68) per gram.
Chinese palladium bar prices rose 0.6 percent to CNY 158.00 ($25.87) per gram. US palladium bar gained 0.1 percent to finish at $713.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar saw little change in its price on Tuesday at JPY 2,220 ($22.50) per gram.
