Big Change Hits Japanese Palladium Bar

Closing at JPY 2,200 ($22.24) per gram on Thursday, October 17, Japanese palladium bar saw the biggest change at a 3.0 percent. After a 1.4 percent increase, US palladium bar finished the day at $715.00 per ounce. Chinese palladium bar prices inched up 0.6 percent to CNY 159.00 ($26.06) per gram.

Japanese platinum bar finished the day up 2.0 percent to JPY 4,448 ($44.96) per gram. At CNY 296.00 ($48.52), the price of Chinese platinum bar finished the market day up 1.7 percent per gram. US platinum bar saw its price rise 1.2 percent to $1,394 per ounce.

After three straight days of no change, the price of Indian gold bullion decreased by 0.9 percent to INR 28,642 ($466.06) per 10 grams. The price of Japanese gold bullion increased 0.8 percent to JPY 4,051 ($40.95) per gram. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 0.2 percent to CNY 254.20 ($41.67) per gram, after two days of improvement. US gold bullion prices rose 0.1 percent to $1,283 per ounce.

At INR 47,596 ($774.48) per kilogram, Indian silver fell 1.5 percent on Thursday. After a 1.1 percent increase, Japanese silver finished the day at JPY 670.00 ($6.77) per 10 grams. Chinese silver gained 0.6 percent to finish at CNY 4,310 ($706.51) per kilogram. US silver prices inched up 0.6 percent to $21.42 per ounce.
