The price of Chinese palladium bar fell 3.6 percent on Tuesday, October 22 to CNY 159.00 ($26.09) per gram, making it the day’s biggest mover. After a 2.7 percent increase, Japanese palladium bar finished the day at JPY 2,355 ($23.99) per gram. US palladium bar prices inched up 1.2 percent to $748.00 per ounce.

The price of US platinum bar closed at $1,429 per ounce. Following a couple days of improvement, the metal’s price weakened by 0.4 percent. The price of Chinese platinum bar closed at CNY 301.00 ($49.40) per gram. Following a couple days of improvement, prices fell by 0.3 percent. The price of Japanese platinum bar fell 0.3 percent to JPY 4,547 ($46.31) per gram.

Chinese gold bullion saw its price rise 0.8 percent to CNY 261.95 ($42.99) per gram. After a 0.3 percent increase, Japanese gold bullion finished the day at JPY 4,166 ($42.43) per gram. At $1,317 per ounce, the price of US gold bullion was essentially unchanged. The price of Indian gold bullion ended a two-day climb, settling at INR 29,676 ($489.50) per 10 grams.

The price of Chinese silver changed direction with a 2.7 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at CNY 4,285 ($703.24) per kilogram. The price of Japanese silver increased 2.1 percent to JPY 688.00 ($7.01) per 10 grams. Indian silver prices rose 1.7 percent to INR 50,948 ($840.38) per kilogram. US silver finished the day up 1.3 percent to $22.24 per ounce.
