There may be a new gold mine in Romania soon enough. “Rosia Montana Gold Corporation, owned by Canada’s Gabriel Resources, said it hopes Romania’s parliament will approve general mining legislation fast, which would enable it to build Europe’s biggest open cast gold mine in a small Carpathian town,” reports Reuters.
“A special Romanian parliamentary commission overwhelmingly rejected a draft bill on Monday that would have allowed the mine project specifically to move forward.”
Decreasing 3.5 percent made Indian silver the biggest mover of the day on Monday, November 11. Chinese silver closed 1.0 percent lower. The price of US silver declined 0.7 percent. Japanese silver fell 0.7 percent yesterday.

Japanese platinum bar fell 1.0 percent on Monday. The price of Chinese platinum bar fell 1.0 percent. After two changeless days, the price of US platinum bar fell 0.5 percent.
Today marks the fifth day in a row of declining prices for Chinese palladium bar. After falling 1.2 percent, prices settled, driving an accelerated drop-off since Tuesday, November 5. Japanese palladium bar closed 0.6 percent lower. The price of US palladium bar declined 0.5 percent.
