US Silver Moves Down 2.8%

On Friday, November 15, the day’s biggest mover was the price of US silver, which saw a 2.8 percent decline to $20.75 per ounce. Japanese silver prices inched up 0.9 percent to JPY 667.00 ($6.65) per 10 grams. The price of Chinese silver increased 0.5 percent to CNY 4,250 ($697.45) per kilogram. At INR 48,913 ($775.78) per kilogram, the price of Indian silver was essentially unchanged.

Japanese gold bullion gained 1.7 percent to finish at JPY 4,143 ($41.33) per gram. Chinese gold bullion finished the day up 0.4 percent to CNY 253.78 ($41.65) per gram. The price of US gold bullion finished the day at $1,287 per ounce following a 0.4 percent increase. The price of Indian gold bullion remained steady at INR 29,704 ($471.12) per 10 grams.

Japanese platinum bar saw its price rise 1.9 percent to JPY 4,699 ($46.88) per gram. The price of US platinum bar increased 1.0 percent to $1,445 per ounce. At CNY 304.00 ($49.89), the price of Chinese platinum bar finished the market day up 0.7 percent per gram.

The price of US palladium bar fell 2.4 percent to $737.00 per ounce last Friday after two days of no change. Following a two-day drop, the price of Chinese palladium bar increased by 0.6 percent to CNY 164.00 ($26.91) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar showed little movement last Friday at JPY 2,384 ($23.78) per gram.
