Chinese Palladium Bar Falls 3.0%

On Tuesday, November 19, Chinese palladium bar fell by 3.0 percent to CNY 159.00 ($26.09) per gram, making it the day’s biggest mover. US palladium bar closed 2.2 percent lower at $715.00 per ounce. The price of Japanese palladium bar closed Tuesday at JPY 2,368 ($23.71) per gram, halting its two-day flat run with a 0.7 percent decline.

Chinese platinum bar finished the day down 2.6 percent to CNY 296.00 ($48.58) per gram. US platinum bar prices saw a 1.9 percent decline to $1,409 per ounce. At JPY 4,650 ($46.56) per gram, Japanese platinum bar fell 1.0 percent on Tuesday.

Chinese gold bullion closed 1.3 percent lower at CNY 250.54 ($41.12) per gram. Indian gold bullion ended the day at INR 29,474 ($473.09) per 10 grams, after the 1.1 percent drop yesterday. The price of US gold bullion changed direction with a 1.1 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at $1,276 per ounce. At JPY 4,140 ($41.45) per gram, the price of Japanese gold bullion was essentially unchanged.

The price of Indian silver declined 2.3 percent to INR 47,703 ($765.69) per kilogram. The price of US silver fell 1.9 percent to $20.39 per ounce. Chinese silver closed 1.6 percent lower at CNY 4,180 ($685.96) per kilogram. Japanese silver prices rose 0.1 percent to JPY 668.00 ($6.69) per 10 grams.
