On Friday, November 22, Chinese copper bar jumped up 0.9 percent, landing at CNY 51,850 ($8,508) per metric ton and making it the day’s biggest increase. The Chinese copper cash price increased 0.9 percent to CNY 52,050 ($8,540) per metric ton. Chinese copper wire finished the day up 0.5 percent to CNY 51,030 ($8,373) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap remained essentially flat at CNY 43,230 ($7,093) per metric ton.
The price of US copper producer grade 122 gained 0.8 percent to finish at $3.89 per pound. After a 0.8 percent increase, the price of US copper producer grade 110 finished the day at $3.89 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 inched up 0.7 percent to $4.08 per pound. The cash price of primary Japanese copper rose 0.7 percent to JPY 735,000 ($7,254) per metric ton.
On the LME, the primary copper cash price gained 0.2 percent to finish at $6,991 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the copper 3-month price rose 0.1 percent to $6,992 per metric ton.
