The price of US copper producer grade 110 inched up 0.8 percent to $3.92 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 0.8 percent to $3.92 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 increased 0.7 percent to $4.11 per pound.
Chinese copper prices were mixed for the day. Chinese copper bar prices inched up 0.2 percent to CNY 51,960 ($8,526) per metric ton. After a 0.2 percent increase, the cash price of Chinese copper finished the day at CNY 52,160 ($8,558) per metric ton. Chinese copper wire prices rose 0.2 percent to CNY 51,135 ($8,390) per metric ton. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap was unchanged at CNY 43,230 ($7,093) per metric ton.
On the LME, the primary copper cash price gained 1.1 percent to finish at $7,065 per metric ton. At $7,065, the 3-month price of copper finished the market day on the LME up 1.0 percent per metric ton.
