The biggest mover this week was Chinese cobalt cathodes with a 1.0 percent fall on the weekly Renewables MMI® to close the week at CNY 196,000 ($32,176) per metric ton. At CNY 13,850 ($2,274) per metric ton, the price of silicon did not change since the previous week. Neodymium traded sideways last week, hovering around CNY 450,000 ($73,549) per metric ton. Chinese steel plate remained essentially flat from the previous week at CNY 3,770 ($618.89) per metric ton.
At JPY 74,000 ($728.90) per metric ton, the week finished with no movement for Japanese steel plate. Following a steady week, prices for Korean steel plate closed flat at KRW 900,000 ($852.76) per metric ton. Prices for Chinese steel plate remained constant, closing the week at CNY 3,770 ($618.89) per metric ton. US steel plate prices held steady from the previous week at $744.00 per short ton.
US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) saw little movement at $3,631 per short ton.
