Chinese Slab Shifts 0.6%

Chinese slab saw a 0.6 percent increase on Friday, December 6, reaching CNY 3,590 ($589.19) per metric ton and making it the biggest upwards shift of the day. Chinese HRC saw little change in its price last Friday at CNY 3,550 ($582.63) per metric ton. Chinese coking coal held its value last Friday at CNY 1,430 ($234.69) per metric ton. The price of iron ore 58% fines from India hit a high price of CNY 840.00 ($137.86) and a low price of CNY 830.00 ($136.22) per dry metric ton.

Also on the LME, the steel billet cash price saw little change in its price last Friday at $250.00 per metric ton. The steel billet 3-month price held steady last Friday on the LME, remaining around $250.00 per metric ton.

The US HRC futures contract 3-month price held steady around $650.00 per short ton. The US HRC futures contract spot price showed little movement last Friday at $676.00 per short ton.
