Japanese Silver Rises 1.6%

At JPY 643.00 ($6.23) per 10 grams, Japanese silver moved up 1.6 percent on Tuesday, December 10, the day’s biggest change. US silver finished the day up 1.5 percent to $19.84 per ounce. The price of Indian silver rose 1.3 percent to INR 45,361 ($745.09) per kilogram after a two-day drop. The price of Chinese silver held steady at CNY 4,065 ($669.52) per kilogram.

Japanese gold bullion prices inched up 1.0 percent to JPY 4,069 ($39.40) per gram. US gold bullion gained 0.8 percent to finish at $1,240 per ounce. After falling for two days, the price of Indian gold bullion rose 0.7 percent to INR 28,630 ($470.27) per 10 grams. Chinese gold bullion saw little change in its price yesterday at CNY 242.85 ($40.00) per gram.

The price of US platinum bar is back up, rising by 1.2 percent on Tuesday to close at $1,371 per ounce. At JPY 4,502 ($43.59), the price of Japanese platinum bar finished the market day up 0.7 percent per gram. The price of Chinese platinum bar showed little movement yesterday at CNY 285.00 ($46.94) per gram.

US palladium bar ended the day at $734.00 per ounce, after the 0.5 percent drop on Tuesday. The price of Japanese palladium bar steadied at JPY 2,400 ($23.24) per gram following two-days of increases. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of Chinese palladium bar held steady at CNY 163.00 ($26.85).
