With a decline of 4.0 percent to $19.50 per ounce on Friday, December 13, US silver recorded the biggest price drift of the day. The price of Indian silver changed direction with a 3.2 percent drop. After two days of improving prices, the metal finished at INR 45,161 ($728.32) per kilogram. At CNY 4,035 ($664.65) per kilogram, Chinese silver fell 2.4 percent last Friday. The price of Japanese silver closed at JPY 662.00 ($6.39) per 10 grams. Following a couple days of improvement, the metal’s price weakened by 0.5 percent.
US gold bullion ended the day at $1,225 per ounce, after the 2.2 percent drop last Friday. The price of Chinese gold bullion declined 2.0 percent to CNY 241.39 ($39.76) per gram. Indian gold bullion finished the day down 0.8 percent to INR 28,700 ($462.85) per 10 grams. Following a couple days of improvement, the price of Japanese gold bullion weakened by 0.3 percent. Prices closed at JPY 4,141 ($39.98) per gram.
At $1,356 per ounce, US platinum bar fell 1.7 percent last Friday. The price of Chinese platinum bar fell 1.4 percent to CNY 286.00 ($47.11) per gram. Japanese platinum bar saw little change in its price last Friday at JPY 4,572 ($44.14) per gram.
US palladium bar prices saw a 2.6 percent decline to $714.00 per ounce. After holding steady for the past few days, the price of Chinese palladium bar fell 2.5 percent, closing at CNY 159.00 ($26.19) per gram. The price of Japanese palladium bar held steady at JPY 2,441 ($23.57) per gram.
