At CNY 53,050 ($8,731) per metric ton, Chinese copper bar moved up 0.5 percent on Thursday, December 26, the day’s biggest change. The cash price of Chinese copper rose 0.5 percent to CNY 53,250 ($8,763) per metric ton. The price of Chinese copper wire flattened at CNY 51,860 ($8,535) after two days of improvement. Chinese bright copper scrap stayed flat at around CNY 42,730 ($7,032) per metric ton.

At JPY 795,000 ($7,606), the cash price of primary Japanese copper finished the market day up 0.4 percent per metric ton. The price of US copper producer grade 122 held steady on Thursday, remaining around $4.04 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 102 saw little movement on Thursday, closing out around $4.23 per pound. The price of US copper producer grade 110 showed little movement on Thursday at $4.04 per pound.

On the LME, the copper 3-month price saw little movement yesterday at $7,271 per metric ton. Also on the LME, the primary copper cash price showed little movement on Thursday, hovering around $7,278 per metric ton.
