Indian Silver Rises 1.4%

Closing at INR 46,489 ($756.23) per kilogram on the Tuesday, January 14, Indian silver rose 1.4 percent to finish as the day’s biggest mover. US silver finished the day up 1.2 percent to $20.41 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver declined 0.4 percent to CNY 4,070 ($673.46) per kilogram. At JPY 669.00 ($6.49) per 10 grams, the price of Japanese silver was essentially unchanged.

 

Indian gold bullion finished the day down 0.4 percent to INR 28,051 ($456.30) per 10 grams. US gold bullion prices rose 0.3 percent to $1,252 per ounce. The price of Chinese gold bullion flattened at CNY 246.25 ($40.75) after two days of improvement. The price of Japanese gold bullion steadied at JPY 4,179 ($40.52) per gram following two-days of increases.

The price of US platinum bar increased 0.6 percent to $1,441 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar saw its price rise 0.3 percent to CNY 301.00 ($49.81) per gram. After a couple of days of improving prices, the price of Japanese platinum bar held steady at JPY 4,801 ($46.56).

Chinese palladium bar prices saw a 0.6 percent decline to CNY 163.00 ($26.97) per gram. The price of US palladium bar fell 0.4 percent to $739.00 per ounce. Japanese palladium bar saw little change in its price yesterday at JPY 2,457 ($23.83) per gram.
