Primary Indian Nickel Down; LME Nickel 3-Month Inches Up 2.4%

On Tuesday, January 14, the Indian nickel cash price fell by 3.0 percent, making it the day’s biggest mover. On the LME, the nickel 3-month price inched up 2.4 percent to $14,040 per metric ton. On the LME, the nickel spot price increased 2.2 percent to $13,975 per metric ton.

Chinese stainless steel prices closed flat for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-moly held flat.

The price of Chinese 316 stainless coil was unchanged. The price of Chinese 304 stainless coil held steady. The price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap continues to hover for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap remained essentially flat. The price of Chinese primary nickel held steady.
