Chinese Aluminum Sees Small Jump; LME 3-Mo Aluminum Up

The cash price of primary Chinese aluminum saw a 0.6 percent increase on Tuesday, January 21, making it the biggest mover for the day. The price of Chinese aluminum bar was unchanged. The price of Chinese aluminum billet held steady. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap remained essentially flat.

On the LME, the aluminum 3-month price inched up 0.4 percent to $1,813 per metric ton. The Indian aluminum cash price increased 0.2 percent. The primary aluminum cash price steadied at $1,767 per metric ton following two-days of increases on the LME.
