Primary Indian Aluminum Sees Small Price Drop

The day’s biggest mover was the cash price of primary Indian aluminum which dropped by 1.5 percent on Wednesday, January 29 to close. After falling for two days, the primary aluminum cash price rose 0.1 percent on the LME to $1,713 per metric ton. The aluminum 3-month price steadied at $1,757 per metric ton following two-days of dropping prices on the LME.

Chinese aluminum prices closed flat for the day. The price of Chinese aluminum scrap saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese aluminum billet saw little movement. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese aluminum bar held flat. The Chinese aluminum cash price remained essentially flat.
