Chinese Copper Wire Price Drops 1.5%

The day’s biggest mover was Chinese copper wire, dropping 1.5 percent to settle on Monday, February 24. Chinese copper bar finished the day down 1.3 percent. The cash price of Chinese copper weakened by 1.3 percent. The price of Chinese bright copper scrap held steady.

The price of US copper producer grade 122 rose 0.2 percent after a two-day drop. After falling for two days, the price of US copper producer grade 110 rose 0.2 percent. Following a 0.2 percent rise yesterday, the price of US copper producer grade 102 closed. The cash price of primary Japanese copper saw a 0.1 percent decline.

On the LME, the copper 3-month price saw little change in its price yesterday at $7,131 per metric ton. The cash price of primary copper saw little movement on Monday on the LME, closing out around $7,185 per metric ton.
