Primary Indian Nickel Shifts Up 1.1%; Chinese Stainless Steel Prices Hold Steady

The Indian nickel cash price moved up 1.1 percent on Tuesday, March 4, making it the day’s biggest mover. The 3-month price of nickel saw a 0.5 percent decline on the LME to $14,520 per metric ton. On the LME, the nickel spot price fell 0.3 percent to $14,500 per metric ton.

Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. The price of Chinese ferro-chrome continues to hover for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese ferro-moly held steady.

The price of Chinese primary nickel rose 0.1 percent . The price of Chinese 316 stainless coil saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese 304 stainless coil remained essentially flat. The price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap was unchanged. The price of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row.
