Cash Price of Primary Indian Nickel Rises

The Indian nickel cash price saw the biggest upwards shift for the day, rising 1.6 percent to close on Friday, March 7. On the LME, the nickel 3-month price gained 1.0 percent to finish at $15,480 per metric ton. On the LME, the spot price of nickel inched up 1.0 percent to $15,450 per metric ton.

Chinese stainless steel prices were mixed for the day. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese ferro-chrome held flat. The price of Chinese ferro-moly was unchanged.

The price of Chinese primary nickel saw a 0.8 percent decline. The price of Chinese 316 stainless coil saw essentially no change for the fifth day in a row. For the fifth consecutive day, the price of Chinese 304 stainless coil held flat. The price of Chinese 316 stainless steel scrap continues to hover for the fifth day in a row. The price of Chinese 304 stainless steel scrap held steady.
