On Dec. 17, 2012, US palladium bar jumped up 1.3 percent, landing at $701.00 per ounce and making it the day’s biggest increase. Japanese palladium bar gained 1.1 percent to finish at JPY 1,788 ($21.24) per gram. After a 0.3 percent increase, Chinese palladium bar finished the day at CNY 165.50 ($26.50) per gram.
The price of US platinum bar increased 0.4 percent to $1,615 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar ended the day at CNY 343.00 ($54.92) per gram, after the 0.3 percent drop on Monday. Japanese platinum bar finished the day down 0.3 percent to JPY 4,366 ($51.87) per gram.
At CNY 340.00 ($54.44) per gram, Chinese gold bullion fell 0.4 percent yesterday. The price of Japanese gold bullion declined 0.3 percent to JPY 4,567 ($54.26) per gram, after two days of improvement. The price of Indian gold bullion declined 0.1 percent to INR 30,885 ($566.85) per 10 grams. The price of US gold bullion remained steady at $1,696 per ounce.
Japanese silver prices saw a 0.9 percent decline to JPY 864.00 ($10.27) per 10 grams. US silver closed 0.7 percent lower at $32.31 per ounce. The price of Chinese silver fell 0.6 percent to CNY 6,520 ($1,044) per kilogram. Indian silver closed 0.3 percent lower at INR 60,040 ($1,102) per kilogram.
