Chinese Palladium Bar Rises 9.3%

On Thursday, May 16, Chinese palladium bar jumped up 9.3 percent, landing at CNY 164.00 ($26.68) per gram and making it the day’s biggest increase. At $725.00 per ounce, US palladium bar fell 0.4 percent yesterday. Japanese palladium bar held its value yesterday at JPY 2,410 ($23.57) per gram.

Japanese platinum bar finished the day down 0.8 percent to JPY 4,907 ($47.99) per gram. The price of US platinum bar fell 0.7 percent to $1,488 per ounce. Chinese platinum bar closed 0.3 percent lower at CNY 312.00 ($50.75) per gram.

The price of US gold bullion declined 2.3 percent to $1,393 per ounce. Indian gold bullion prices saw a 2.0 percent decline to INR 26,203 ($478.28) per 10 grams. The price of Chinese gold bullion fell 1.9 percent to CNY 283.60 ($46.13) per gram. Japanese gold bullion finished the day down 1.6 percent to JPY 4,592 ($44.91) per gram.

US silver saw its price drop 3.5 percent to a 30-day low of $22.59 per ounce yesterday. On Thursdayyesterday price drop of 3.1 percent carried the price of Chinese silver to a 30-day low of CNY 4,560 ($741.78) per kilogram. Japanese silver closed 2.9 percent lower at JPY 740.00 ($7.24) per 10 grams. At INR 42,332 ($772.69) per kilogram, Indian silver fell 2.9 percent on Thursday.
